Anyone else feel that a little cleanse of the system is necessary after some fun indulgent days, especially in summer? These last few days have been full of fun, yet loads of eating out and maybe, just maybe, a few drinks 😉 I can instantly feel the salt in my system when I’m not eating at home for multiple days in a row. No matter how much water I chug, I get that overall puffy feeling for a few days after. So I love to whip out my new Hurom juicer and throw together some anti-inflammatory juice to help me deflate!

My first experience with amazing anti-inflammatory juice was at Beaming, a local plant based juice bar and cafe. I literally chugged the stuff in under 5 minutes. I thought to myself, man this is AMAZING! But my wallet just can’t sustain that kind of obsession long, so of course I had to make it at home. It’s so perfect for days like today when I need a little kick in my over salted deflation process. But really, I can drink this any time and be extremely happy.
The main ingredients here have some amazing benefits:
- Fresh pineapple is filled with the enzyme bromelain, which is extremely helpful for inflammation.
- Cucumber is also great for inflammation because it’s highly hydrating, plus it also has plant lignans which help with digestion.
- Lime and jalapeño contain loads of vitamin C, prefect to keep your immune system strong.
- Mint is known to be good for headaches and digestion.
So overall, this anti-inflammatory juice is a powerhouse of yumminess!

My Hurom juicer is what is known as a slow juicer, which essentially means it helps retain more of the nutrients that whatever you juice is full of. So when I make my anti-inflammatory juice, I know I am getting as many of the nutrients as I can, just like I would with hand juicing. It’s super quiet, easy to use and easy to clean. A huge win in my book! And extra awesome is that it is small enough to fit on my counter without taking up precious real estate.

So feeling a little ballon-like are you? THIS is the answer! Dust the cobwebs off that juicer and bring it back to life! Not only does this anti-inflammatory juice taste so darn amazing, but it will also help your body get back to neutral. Plus, you can give it to the kids as a little boost for immunity, school is about to start again and we all know what a germ trap that place is! LOL! Leave me a comment here and let me know what you think. You can also find me on Instagram and on Facebook, I love hearing from you everywhere! It’s time to get that flat belly back and show these last days of summer who’s boss!

Freshly squeezed juice to calm your body and liven your tastebuds! This anti-inflammatory juice will help diminish that over indulged bloated balloon feeling!

Ingredients
- 2 cups pineapple pieces
- 1 cup cucumber pieces
- Juice of 1 lime (about 1 tablespoon)
- 1 jalapeno (deseeded)
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves (packed) plus more for garnish
Instructions
- Wash and cut fruit and veggies. Remove the seeds from the jalapeño.
- Using juicer , juice each ingredient. It’s best to add the mint leaves in the middle of juicing so that the juicier ingredients will help push them through. I start with half of the pineapple, then do the cucumber, then the mint, then the jalapeno, then the lime and lastly the rest of the pineapple.
- Serve over ice with extra mint as garnish.
Notes
You can add more or less of each ingredient to get the flavor you want.
Tips to prep ahead: Cut and prep all ingredients.
Baby/kid food idea: Reduce or take out the jalapeno.

Give me all the anti-inflammatory foods and drinks! This girl always needs it (I literally use turmeric, my favorite anti-inflammatory, on everything and every meal I have) I pour it on cereal…I kid you not 😛
Ha! I’m not a turmeric fan unfortunately, so I rely on loads of fresh juice!!
What a great idea to combine cucumber and pineapple. This sounds really refreshing!
It’s so refreshing!! Thanks Cadry!
This looks fabulous! Your photos are gorgeous, Sophia!
Awe, thank you so much Amy!! You are too kind!
Can I use a high powdered blender insead? It should still work, right? I don’t own a juicer as I prefer blending. This looks so darn refreshing it’s making my mouth water 😉
Yes!! Just use the water and fruit method to make juice like you normally would! Thanks Trish, it’s so refreshing!!!
Sorry … powered, not powdered 🙂
LOL! I read it right, but a powdered blender would be awesome, Hahaha!!
This post came at the perfect time. I could really use something like this. I don’t know much about juicers and I have every kitchen gadget known to man so I’ll have to check it out.
Thanks Denise!! You could also do it in a high power blender, just use the water and fruit method to make the juice!
Oh yes we all need this! And it sounds yummy too–that’s brilliant!
Thanks Mahy!
What a gorgeous juice! Love the flavor combo! And I have this same juicer!!
Thanks Jenn! It’s a great combo. Love the juicer!
I love my slow juicer, so much gentler to use and it gets so much juice out.
I love the idea of this. I put cucumbers in my smoothies, but have not juiced one yet. I wonder if it would help with sore muscles after the gym.

Isn’t it great?! SO much juice!! It would totally help with sore muscles. This is how I actually discovered this combo for the first time, after a hard workout!
That looks like such a refreshing juice! I am loving cucumbers at the moment, so any way to use them is good with me/
Thanks so much! Cucumbers are awesome in juice!
Ooh this looks so cool and refreshing!
Thanks Becky!
This looks so good!
Thanks!
Funny how much this juice resembles a margarita! 😉 But seriously, I hear you, restaurants put too much salt and oil in their food and I feel it for days. This looks so refreshing and healthy!
Ha! I actually made this into a cocktail not that long ago. Great minds 😉
What a delicious sounding juice and I love it’s colour. The jalapeños are a welcome addition for me. I love a bit of spice! I so wish I had invested in a slow juicer. I have a not so great model that isn’t slow and I don’t get as much juice out of everything as I feel I should. It feels quite wasteful.
Thanks Mel! I LOVE jalapeños in my juices! It gives it a nice kick but does not overdo it.
Nothing better than fresh, homemade juice!! This looks so refreshing – I love all of the ingredients here and never thought to combine pineapple and cucumber, but now I need to try it! We’re saving money for a new juicer, so I’ll have to keep this one in mind 🙂
Thank you Mandy!! Pineapple and cucumber are SO good together! I would definitely go with a slow juicer when you get one. They are so much better and yield much more!
Thanks for sharing this Sophia! I definitely need some debloating drinks in my fridge. I love the cucumber in there, such a fresh flavor!
Thanks Lucie! I love cucumber!!
This color is soooo gorgeous! It looks so pretty and refreshing that I want to jump through my screen! I don’t like pineapple though…I know you are really shocked by that with me being such a huge fruit lover in all, hahaha! Jay loves pineapple and cucumber though, I bet he would love this! The fact it depuffs though means I need to learn to love pineapple really quick, LOL!
Wait, you don’t like fruit? HA! I kid I kid!! But yeah, you’re a tad cuckoo….this seriously is so good! But I love pineapple and the tropical taste it has. Jay would love it! My boys slurp this up so fast, I need to hire a permanent juicer to just always keep this on hand. LOL! Thanks so much mama!!
We just started buying Persian cucumbers for their amazing taste, and I’m betting they would be wonderful in this juice, too!
Yes!! Love the Persians. Those are the ones I usually get!
This looks so refresing, Sophia! 🙂
Thanks Sina!
This sounds fantastic, especially with the jalapeno! Could definitely do with a glass of this right now…
Thanks Aimee! I love the spice!
