Words cannot explain how much I love the chile mango dole whip at Disney. I dream about it on the regular and now I can make it any time I want! Plus, it's a dairy free Disney menu item which is a huge win if you eat a vegan diet.

    Dole Whip Ingredients

Keep it simple, or make it extra flavorful! No matter what you will definitely fall in love with this homemade dole whip!

In order to make the classic dole pineapple whip recipe you need:

    • Frozen pineapple
    • Full fat coconut milk
    • Sweetener - optional

For the chile mango dole whip flavor:

    • Frozen pineapple
    • Frozen mango
    • Fresh pineapple
    • Cucumber
    • Jicama
    • Mango
    • Chamoy syrup
    • Tajin or any chile lime seasoning
    • Dried mango

How to Make Disney Dole Whip

The method used in making this pineapple dole whip recipe similar to making a thick smoothie bowl, here's what to do:

    1. Pulse (not blend) frozen fruit in a blender until it is chopped into small pieces.
    2. Add the milk.
    3. Blend or pulse on low.
    4. Top with optional toppings and serve!

    Flavor Variations

This really is delicious with simply the pineapple and milk, but it's fun to add more flavors!

    • For an extra creamy dessert, make dole whip ice cream!
      • Use 1 cup of fruit and 1 cup of vanilla ice cream. (Dairy free if needed.)
    • The chile mango version tastes best with half ice cream and half fruit mix.
    • We tried a boozy version on our amazing Disney cruise, pour in some rum or tequila for the adults!
    • Other types of fruit will work as well, just make sure it's frozen. Try:
      • rasperberries
      • strawberries
      • oranges - or switch out some of the milk for orange juice
    • If you choose to use a sweetener, sugar works best for the texture.
    • Add a pinch of salt to bring out the flavors even more.
    • Make it float by serving it in a cup with pineapple juice or soda.

    Preparation Tips

    • This Disney dole whip recipe works best using frozen fruit, not fresh.
      • You can freeze fresh fruit to use at a later date.
    • By pulsing the frozen fruit first, you are getting it into small pieces so that it blends smoother and faster.
    • Do not blend on high or the heat will melt the mixture.
    • Use the tamper tool to help push the fruit into the blades.
    • For the classic appearance of the Disney pineapple dole whip swirl you can chill it for 30 minutes to firm it up a bit, then pipe it into your serving dish using a pastry bag.
