I have a sweet tooth. Cutting out refined sugar was one of the hardest things I did. I looked forward to Halloween every year, so that I had an excuse to by Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

As I went through the transformation of eating in a way that was best for my body, I knew that I had to say goodbye to these downfalls. At first, I cut it out cold turkey. I knew that if I allowed just one, I would fall.

After this craving was out of my system, and believe it or not it worked, I found healthier ways to satisfy my sweet tooth. This vegan peanut butter cup milkshake is one of my all time favorites.

The overripe banana is the only sugar in here, but man does it taste like there is so much more!! My kids suck these down in about 10 seconds, so I warn  you, make double! Or triple!

One of my favorite smoothies. I generally use frozen cauliflower for the “ice cubes”. Thanks for your creativity!

These photos are absolutely gorgeous!! This looks amazing. Have you ever added nutritional yeast to your peanut butter cup smoothies? It sounds kinda weird but it totally gives it a reese's pieces flavour! First time here and I'll be back 🙂 Actually gonna go take a look around...drool.

Thank you so much Deryn! You are too sweet. You know what's funny, is I actually add nutritional yeast in my layered pumpkin pie in a jar (check it out here: https://www.veggiesdontbite.com/raw-or-baked-layered-pumpkin-caramel-pie-in-a-mason-jar/). It gives it a very "buttery" taste! I'll have to try it with the smoothie!! I actually also use it in my french toast, and it gives it a nice "eggy" flavor (this one: https://www.veggiesdontbite.com/cinnamon-apple-pumpkin-pie-french-toast/). I have another recipe coming soon too!
